    Email with Outlook Express

Outlook Express is one of the most widely used email clients for the simple reason that it is included with Windows and Internet Explorer on most computers sold. There are plenty of good alternatives, however for the basic user it will cover their needs just fine. You will find most computer professionals have a working knowledge of Outlook Express, so finding a helping hand should be easy.

    Guide to configure Outlook Express

The following instructions were created using version 6 of Outlook Express. Older versions dating back to version 4 will follow the same pattern.

You must already have an email account with DialupAtCost prior to following these instructions.

    1. Start Outlook Express. Depending on your computer configuration, different windows may pop up while opening Outlook Express. Respond to these windows, until you have Outlook Express open and you are able to access the menu up top.

    2. From the menu, choose Tools then Accounts. (if nothing happens when you click on Tools, it may be because another popup window needs a response)

Outlook Express - Menu - Accounts

    3. You should now have the accounts window in front of you

      Outlook Express - Accounts

    4. Switch to Mail tab by clicking on it.

      1. Highlight account by clicking on it.
      2. Click the Remove button.
      3. When asked if you are sure, click Yes.
